Band #27: Too Late The Hero

Here is a band that is close to my heart. Old friends of mine, they’ve been around for longer than I can remember. Delving into the heavier side of rock, their well-known tunes such as Plan B and Wyatt Earp’s Ale Mug catch audiences with the strong riffs and group vocals. Recently involved in still “underwraps” advancements, you’ll be hearing big things from this band very soon. They’ve finally moved towards what they deserve. Their next two shows are at The 802 in Springfield, VT on January 29 and at The Sad Cafe in Plaistow, NH on February 12. I suggest you check them out!

Band #26: The Night Alive

A young solo artist from Wakefield, Rhode Island, The Night Alive gives the audience something to smile about.  With upbeat songs and influences such as +44, All Time Low, and The Maine, you can imagine the plethora of sound. His pure passion for music is enough to draw you in, with tons of famous song covers on his page. His next show is the South Kingstown Battle of the Bands in Wakefield, RI. Band #25: And Then There Were None

Now, I know what you’re thinking, New Hampshire really doesn’t have much of a music scene to speak of. However, I think there are a few bands you’re forgetting about. And Then There Were None has been around probably longer than most of you can remember.  They started out as a hardcore band, then moved into dance music and now have a new sound all their own. They’ve toured with bands such as Drop Dead Gorgeous, He Is Legend, and The Fold. With their song and video “Thank The Watchmaker”, fans went berserk.  Though they are signed to Tooth and Nail and a bit bigger than a “local band”, they always remember their roots up north. This catchy music will draw you in with merely the first few beats.

Band #24: The Bay State

Anyone a fan of New England Pop Rock? If you are, The Bay State is the band for you.  They started six years ago as lead singer Tom Tash’s acoustic project.  Slowly, The Bay State grew into their current glory.  With the use of a viola, they provide a sound that is hard to come by these days.  With captivating songs like “Liars” and “Song For A Winter’s Night”, they’ve obtained quite a following. After writing “Hey Hey Glamour Kills”, they earned a sponsorship from the clothing company. Give these Mainers a chance, you won’t regret it.

Band #23: Kids of Survival

New York, New York.  Such a vast state filled with such diverse music.  Enter Kids of Survival.  Their heartfelt rock tunes have built them a decent-sized fanbase over the years.  KoS fans are dedicated through and through. With songs like “My Addiction” and “The YOU in US is Silent”, Kids of Survival are certainly up and comers in this part of the country.  They are currently on an extensive East Coast tour with The Status and with The Bay State tagging along for the Northeastern dates.  Check the dates for one near you, with this combination of bands, no one would be disappointed!

Band #22: Connery

Hey Maine, thanks for spitting out these great bands!  Connery is well known and loved throughout Maine and northern New Hampshire.  With old heartbreakers like “Your Voice Vs The Speakers” and “Lost In Conversation”, Jake Marquis captures hearts faster than he can strum his guitar. With a recent change in the band’s lineup and a new record on the way, Connery promises a new sound that will thrill and captivate you. Keep an eye out for the album and some great shows this summer!

Band #21: Go Radio

These Floridians are in need of congratulations, they were quite recently signed to Fearless Records!  After months and months of doing all they could to get their name out, they’ve finally succeeded.  With songs that touch our hearts, like “I Miss You” and “Why I’m Home”, Go Radio is a hit wherever they play. They’re currently touring with A Day To Remember, Silverstein, Enter Shikari and August Burns Red.  That sounds like a lineup you’re not going to want to miss!

Band #20: Senior Discount

Senior Discount is the quirkiest of Rhode Island bands.  With an upbeat sound and aggressive lyrics mixed together, the audience feels whatever emotion is implied. These guys are out for a fun time, with covers such as “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” which was even recorded and released with their latest EP.  On the radio, they’ve videotaped themselves singing “Kiss The Girl” from The Little Mermaid.  If you’re looking for some laughs and some fun music, Senior Discount is the band for you!

“Band” #19: Bryce Larsen

Many of you might recognize Bryce as the lead singer of Stealing Jane, the well-known rock band out of Long Island. What some may not realize is that Bryce has released his own solo album, as well as an album of HipHop covers.  Both are available on Amazon.  This, along with many of the posts so far, is a self-submitted. Bryce has made it to the Hollywood level of American Idol. I urge you all to watch, and vote.  Help a good friend do something amazing with his gift!
